Welcome to Khula Community Centre
In 2001 Khula began as a creche with only 14 children and 2 staff members , in a small room next to the rural Church building. From the beginning, our mission has always been to find innovative ways to educate, feed and share the gospel with the children within our community to help provide them with a better future, and this will always remain our top priority.

It takes a village to raise a child ~African Proverb~
It has been more than 2 decades since those small beginnings and a lot has changed since – both in the world we live in, the world our children face today and tomorrow, and accordingly in our ministries and outreach.
We believe God continues to be actively involved in the original vision He gave the late Pastor Joseph Ndovela and his wife Jabu, when they started Khula, and we are consistently blown away by His MORE in every aspect of the way He grows our capacity to better serve our community.

Poverty and unemployment are common in our community and the majority of households survive on a single, minimum-wage income with an average of 6 to 8 members in a family. To break this cycle and to ensure that the next generation is equipped with the necessary skills to thrive in the workforce, Khula has placed major importance on education as one of our focus areas, with additional social and nutritional support.

At Khula, there is no such thing as a hand out - only a hand up. We invite you to join us on the journey and in the victory...
